Aria Tari was conceived by Matt Campbell, and Walker Ross, in the fall of 2006, in misty Manitou Springs, CO. Although their conception was coupled with bold intention, over the next two years, Aria Tari faced many challenges; including various bassists, and drummers. They even recorded the Melancholy Eyes EP without a bassist, and Campbell as the singer. After welcoming aboard Jeff Cloutier (guitarist/recording engineer) , and Brett Andrus (bassist) Aria Tari has finally realized their true direction. Matt, the original drummer for Steriogram in his native New Zealand, has gone back to his first love…the drums. To fill that vacant place in the spotlight, Walker has now taken the frontman role as guitarist and singer. These four musicians are from different regions of the world and the U.S., but were all born into the same generation. And, growing up, they all seasoned their ears with the likes of Fugazi, INXS, Alice in Chains, and the Smashing Pumpkins. With a chemistry that’s feeling stronger than it ever has, Aria Tari is creating a wall of sound, injecting energy and honesty into every note, lyric, and pounding rhythm.
